Justice for Breonna Taylor

On March 13, 2020, Louisville Metro Police officers shot and killed Breonna Taylor. An unarmed Black woman, in a botched raid of her home. Ms. Taylor’s case began to draw national attention in May and has since been the center of campaigns from celebrities and athletes.

Coming just weeks before the killing of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor’s murder was a major theme of the BLM protests. Although no officers were brought to trial, in September of 2020, Louisville officials paid $12 million to settle a wrongful death suit brought by Ms. Taylor’s mother.
